**Cal. 2892A2** (often called **2892-A2**) is an [[ultra-thin]] [[automatic]] watch movement produced by [[ETA]]. It was introduced in [[1999]] and remains in production [[as of 2019]].

===== Overview =====
The **ETA 2892-A2** is the upper-range [[automatic]] movement from [[ETA]]. It is commonly found in "upscale" Swiss watches, while the older and cheaper [[ETA 2824|2824-2]] is found in lower-end watches. Together with the 2824 and [[Valjoux 7750|7750]], the 2892A2 is one of three common movements from ETA.

The 2892A2 is an evolution of the [[ETA 2890|2890]] and [[ETA 2892-2|2892-2]]. It is a mechanical movement with [[automatic]] winding, ball-bearing [[rotor]], [[hacking seconds]], with power reserve of about 42 hours.

The current ETA calibre lineup includes the following variants of the base 2892A2 movement. All are 11½ [[ligne]]s (25.6 mm) in diameter, self-winding, 28,800 vph.

The 2892-A2 is the basis for the [[Omega 1120]] and [[co-axial]] [[Omega 2500]] calibres which are manufactured specially for Omega.
