**Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS)** is the Swiss national organization for measurement, part of the Department of Justice and Police, headquartered in Wabern near [[Bern]], [[Switzerland]]. In [[2015]], [[Omega]] established a new test of [[chronometer]]s for [[magnetic resistance]]. This test begins with [[COSC]] [[chronometer]] [[certification]] before being tested under exposure to 15,000 Gauss. Watches the pass are awarded [[Certified Master Chronometer]] status. This testing is performed at a METAS laboratory in [[Biel]] near the Omega headquarters and is closely associated with the brand.
