Garmin is a well-known producer of GPS, Sports, Dive and Smartwatches.

The brand is headquartered in Schaffhausen; the operational headquarters are located in Olathe (Kansas, USA). The company was founded 1989 by Gary Burrell and Min Kao (hence the name Gar/min) and became one of the market leaders in this field due to the innovative GPS technology of its products.

Garmin watches are equipped with battery-powered quartz movements.
