Rising

A rising display uses a marked wheel shown through a dial aperture. It is similar to a jump display but without the complication of instantaneous change. Most rising displays have an aperture wider than the digit shown so the neighboring numbers can also be seen.

Rising Hours

A rising hours watch has an aperture, often at 12 00, which shows the time digitally on a wheel behind the dial. This is quite easy to implement by replacing the hour hand with a marked disc.

Rising Date

A rising date watch has a wider aperture than a typical jump date, allowing two or more neighboring date digits to be seen.
