Futurististic Chronograph wirh Tourbillon by Audemars Piguet

On the SIHH 2008 Audemars Piguet presented this avant-garde concept version of the Royal Oak: an extra light handwound-chronograph with tourbillon, where both, the case and the movement, are wrought from karbon. Case diameter: 44 mm, bezel front side from ceramics, rear from titan with black PVD. Newly developed handwound-caliber AP 2895, consisting of 384 parts and with the considerable power reserve of 237 hours.

Novelty by A. Lange & Söhne at this year's SSIH

With the tourbillon version of the classic Cabaret the top manufacture A. Lange & Söhne from Glashütte presents once again a world premiere of first range: the first, patented design of a tourbillon with stop seconds — an invention which is not only elaborate, but is also very practical in everyday use. In the whole more than 200-year history of tourbillons it has still not been possible to stop the watch immediately to the second. This problem is for the first time solved satisfactorily in the new model of A. Lange.

Preliminary report about TAG Heuer at the Baselworld 2008

After the new, 2007 presented Series "Grand Carrera" TAG Heuer comes up with two interesting new models at the Baselworld 2008, both limitied: the hot-blooded sports chronograph TAG Heuer Grand Carrera Calibre 17 RS2 Limited Edition with rotation system and black case made of titanium Grade 2, and the equally black hand-wound watch TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 1 Limited Edition, which carries an unusual, visually appealing pocket watch movement.

The watch was inspired by the junior boss of the Eibach Fahrzeugtechnik (a chassis supplier of all of the important sportscar manufacturers as well as the formula 1) and is characterized by a special dial design with carbon structure (alternatively silver or black), which invokes resemblances to rapid sports car technology...

14.12.2008: In the Watch Wiki category "Watch videos" you find not only more than 100 selected films, but these videos can be seen in a much better quality, not only in mono and with the usal blurred appearance. It was hard work to provide the setting "high quality" for the wiki system, but now it works and allows a nice enjoyment.
