The **1815 "Homage to Walter Lange"** is a luxury wristwatch by [[A. Lange & Söhne]].

[[2017]] version of the [[A. Lange & Söhne 1815|1815]] model presented in honor of [[Walter Lange]]. Walter Lange had registered Lange Uhren GmbH on December 7, [[1990]], exactly 145 years to the day after [[Ferdinand Adolph Lange]] founded the company.

The watch features an unusual [[complication]]: a [[jumping]] central seconds hand with start/stop function. It is based on an invention by Walter Lange's great-grandfather in [[1867]]. 

The number in the watch's name refers to the birth date of the brand's founder [[Ferdinand Adolph Lange]], who was born in Dresden on February [[1815]].

The reference number 297 as well as the caliber number L1924 refer to the date of birth of Walter Lange: July 29 [[1924]].
