Luxury watch with [[tourbillon]] by [[A. Lange & Söhne]], part of the [[A. Lange & Söhne Pour le Mérite|Pour le Mérite]] line.

This watch, whose name refers to the highest German order of merit, exhibits a construction which was never realized in a [[wristwatch]] before the drive of the [[gear train]] via [[fusée-and-chain transmission]]. This complicated mechanism is used to optimize the precision and is visualized by a recess in the [[three-quarter plate]]. A further feature is the complexly constructed [[planetary gear]], which keeps the driving power of the watch constant during winding.

The heart of the watch is a [[manual winding]] [[manufacture]] movement [[Lange L902.0|L902.0]]. The fascinating motion of the tourbillon bogie can be observed both on the dial side and through the [[sapphire crystal]] caseback. The watch case is made of [[gold]] or [[platinum]].

This model was produced in a limited edition from [[1994]] to [[1998]] (in [[platinum]] 50 pieces, in [[gold]] 150 pieces - including 15 in [[white gold]] and 15 in [[rose gold]]).
