**Antoine Martin** is a Swiss watch manufacturer founded by [[Braun, Martin|Martin Braun]].

===== Martin Braun builds own manufacture movement =====

The German watchmaker [[Braun, Martin|Martin Braun]], who has already established a name for himself amongst watch connoisseurs as founder of the brand [[Martin Braun]], in [[2009]] founded the company MHO AG (Manufacture Horlogère Obwalden) with the stated goal of the realisation of his own proprietary movement, equipped with his self-developed [[Swiss lever escapement]]. After nearly two years of intensive work, since [[2011]] the first 100% self-developed Antoine Martin manufacture movement is ready a fascinating movement with [[manual winding]], integrated [[perpetual calendar]], a [[big date]] display and a [[6-day]] [[power reserve]].

For mid-2011 also the second movement with an automatic winding is planned. Both movements demonstrate unprecedented technical innovation and are exclusively available for the newly established brand **Antoine Martin**.

===== Industry insider as CEO =====
For the leadership of the brand Bruno Jufer was committed as a director, who had been active before at [[Maurice Lacroix]], [[Jaquet Droz]], [[Zenith]] and most recently at [[Carl F. Bucherer]]. Under the leadership of Bruno Jufer the new watch collection ANTOINE MARTIN was born. //"In our watches, we use our whole knowledge and our motivation to create something quite extraordinary, and also our emotions for filigree technology, design and quality materials,"// says Bruno Jufer. The brand and the first watch collection was for the first time presented to the scientific community and to the general public at the [[Baselworld]] [[2011]].

===== Innovations in 2013 =====

With the idea of "slowing down time", Antoine Martin has created a sensational counterpoint in mechanical watchmaking. The balance of the new 36.001 calibre beats with an unbelievably leisurely frequency of 7200 beats per hour, or just one hertz. This is not even half as fast as the slowest-running designs currently available in the modern watchmaking industry so far.

Not only the calibre [[AM 36.001]] is called "Slowrunner", but also the model [[Antoine Martin Slowrunner SR01|Slowrunner SR01]] provided with it, and presented at the same time.

At the beginning of years [[2014]] Martin Braun moves to the top of Antoine Martin, replacing Bruno Jufer, who has moved to [[Eterna]].
