One notable aspect of the partnership was the use of direct-to-consumer sales via the Internet. Special editions of the [[Ball For BMW GMT]] were sold online at a discount, and the [[Ball for BMW TMT Chronometer]] was released first online for nearly 50% discount.

The partnership ended after [[2016]] with a new [[BMW by Fossil]] line being produced at a lower price for the auto manufacturer.
