====== Brilliant cut ======
If a round [[diamond]] has 57 circularly arranged facets, then one speaks of a **brilliant cut**. It was developed around [[1910]] from the so-called //old cut// of the previous century. This cut transforms a [[diamond]] into a [[brilliant]].

Another known cut-form is the (elongated rectangular) [[Baguette cut]].
