**BWC** is a Swiss watch brand.

The Swiss manufacturer BWC (Buttes Watch Co.) was founded in [[1924]] by Arthur Chalet in Buttes (Canton [[Neuchâtel]]). It is known for producing inexpensive mechanical and [[Quartz]] watches with solid quality. At that time the focus was still on the production of [[pocket watch]]es. In [[1953]] the father of the founder, Edwin Volkart, took over the company. Since [[2003]] BWC is owned by the Pforzheim company //Starck-Uhren//, and since [[2004]] watches are manufactured with a new concept in [[Biel]] and [[Pforzheim]].
