**Cabestan** is a [[Swiss]] [[high-end]] watch maker launched in [[2003]].

Formed in [[2003]], Cabestan takes its name from the capstan or winch that collects the chain in a [[fusée-and-chain]] mechanism. The company's first iconic model was the [[Cabestan Winch Tourbillon Vertical]] of [[2008]] which emphasized this [[complication]]. Cabestan is known for extremely limited-production [[haute horlogerie]] pieces with unique [[in-house]] movements and designs.

Cabestan is associated with the [[Romain Jerome]] brand and [[Prix Gaïa]]-winning watchmaker [[Eric Coudray]], who created the [[Jaeger-LeCoultre Gyrotourbillon]].
