**Czapek & Cie SA** is a [[Geneva]]-based maker of watches, re-established in [[2011]].

===== History =====
Czech-born Polish watchmaker [[Franciszek Czapek]] arrived in [[Geneva]] in [[1832]] and began producing watches shortly after. In [[1839]], Czapek and [[Antoni Patek]] created [[Patek, Czapek & Cie.]] as a producer of fine watches and predecessor to today's [[Patek Philippe]]. Czapek continued as **Czapek & Cie.** until [[1869]], when the company fell out of his control and eventually became dormant.

[[Xavier de Roquemaurel]], [[Harry Guhl]], and [[Sébastien Follonier]] re-established the company on October 21, [[2011]] and raised over 2 million CHF by [[2015]] to return it to market.

Czapek won the Public Prize at the [[Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève]] for the 33 bis Quai des Bergues in November, [[2016]].
