====== Domed ======

A watch glass is called [[domed]] or //cambered// if it is curved.

The production of cambered [[sapphire crystal|sapphire glasses]] is much more expensive than that of straight cut ones, since the curvature is milled out of a larger or higher block and must be uniform.

The advantage of such glasses is also less reflection when viewing the dial.
