====== Duoface ====== Dual-sided movements (**duoface** in Jaeger-LeCoultre parlance) drive a watch face on each side. Most watches have a face on only one side, below the bottom plate. However, some watches, notably the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso, features a watch face on two sides driven by a single movement. Engineering such a "duo-face" movement is extremely difficult, since the pinions must pass through the entire movement. This is especially true for automatic movements, in which the rotor would interfere with the pinions driving one side. ===== Examples ===== * JLC 844 - Duoface with hour and minute on both front and back * JLC 854/1 - Duoface with hour/minute and small seconds on front and second timezone hour/minute and 24 hour time on back * JLC 859 - Duoface with retrograde chronograph on the back * JLC 864 - Duoface with hour/minute on front and second timezone hour/minute on back * JLC 862 - Duoface flyback movement * JLC 878 - Duoface with hour/minute, small seconds, and date on front and second timezone hour/minute and 24 hour time plus power reserve on back * JLC 986 - Duoface with hour/minute, small seconds, and date on front and second timezone hour/minute and 24 hour time on back
