The **DUW 6101** is a small and thin [[automatic]] movement from [[Nomos]]. It is a new design, introduced in [[2018]], and uses Nomos' [[in-house]] [[Nomos Swing System]].

===== Overview =====
The [[2005]] introduction of the [[Nomos Alpha|Alpha movement family]] was an important turning point for Nomos, their first [[in-house]] constructed movement. This was followed in [[2006]] by the Nomos Epsilon, the first Nomos movement with [[automatic winding]]. The next great leap forward for Nomos was the [[2014]] introduction of the [[Nomos Swing System]], an [[in-house]] [[assortment]], in movement [[DUW 4401]]. In [[2014]], Nomos introduced the [[Nomos neomatik]] centered on the freshly-designed and compact [[DUW 3001]] movement.

DUW 3001 and DUW 6101 are not a direct evolution of the [[Peseux 7001]]-based [[Nomos Alpha|Alpha]]/[[DUW 4401|DUW 4401]] family. Instead, it is a new design that leverages the company's in-house movement design capabilities. It also introduces a new version of the [[Nomos Swing System]] on a two-sided [[bridge]] instead of a [[cock]]. The traditional [[three-quarter plate]] design is emphasized in the design, unlike the previous models. The design target appears to be the respected [[ETA 2892A2]] DUW 6101 is wider at 35.2 mm vs. 25.6 mm but just as thin at 3.6 mm.

The DUW 5201 movement is an [[automatic]] movement with [[small seconds]] at 6 00. Like other Nomos movements, it is made in a [[three-quarter plate]] design, plated with [[rhodium]] and decorated with [[Glashütte ribbing]] and [[perlage]]. It features [[Incabloc]] shock protection and 27 [[jewel]]s. Nomos boasts that the [[gear train]] is 94.2 percent efficient.
