Producer of [[watch movement]]s

[[Ebauche]] manufacturers produce the so-called "raw movements" and sell them to watch manufacturers which build them into their watches.

The best known companies producing watch movements are 

  * [[ETA]] ([[Swatch Group]])
  * Valjoux (now [[ETA]]), especially [[chronograph]] movements
  * [[Lemania]] (later //Nouvelle Lemania//, in the meantime also part of the [[Swatch Group]])

Other smaller ebauche makers include

In contrast to these suppliers the so-called [[manufacture]]s build their own in-house movements.
