Twenty years after the introduction of the legendary line 1911 with its distinctive hexagonal case the "Architects of Time" presented in October 2006 the revised Ebel men's collection 1911 BTR, a contemporary, purely mechanical and especially masculine watch series which draws attention to itself by a diameter extended to 44.5 mm and a larger bezel. On the Baselworld 2007 the Calibre 139 was presented. It is the fourth in-house Ebel automatic movement. It is based on the high-precision Ebel Calibre 137 from the year 1995, but was extended to a remarkable display of the conventional totalisers to facilitate the reading of elapsed times. By this the "Architects of Time" solved a well-known problem in an innovative way Conventional totalisers are very small, which is why they are not read quickly and accurately. Therefore, the chronograph indications of this model appear in view windows rather than round totalisers. The dial has been interpreted as a separate architectural structure and could accommodate perspective and relief effects, while the hours hand stands in the foreground as a striking element. The chronograph minutes counter was shifted from his traditional position to 3 o'clock to appear in the form of a 120° counter. Thus, the readability of the display is greatly improved. Once an arm of the three-armed minutes counter hand has counted 30 minutes, the second arm takes over timing exactly where the first has begun its course in the zero start position. The hours display of the chronograph differs also from the conventional counter format a disk partitioned from 1 to 12 rotates under the dial and shows the hours running in a window at 6 o'clock. The chronograph stop hand maintains its position in the center. Through the sapphire crystal caseback with the signature "Architects of Time" the compass-like weight segment can be admired. **Reference:** * 1215786 **Movement:** * Ebel manufacture calibre 139, 28,800 A/h * Self-winding chronograph movement * COSC certified chronometer * Bi-directional winding ball-bearing rotor * 27 jewels * 322 components * Power reserve 48 h **Case:** * Stainless steel, limited to 100 pieces in 18K-750 4N red gold * Ø 44.5 mm, height ? mm * Alternately satin-finished/polished * Sapphire crystal with anti-glare treatment on both sides * Sapphire crystal caseback * Screw-in crown fluted, in polished stainless steel, coated with black rubber * Pushers coated with black rubber and protective covers in stainless steel * Waterproof to 100 m **Dial:** * Skeletonized dial, black * Three-armed small second at 9 o'clock, three-armed minutes counter hand at 12 o'clock and hours indication at 6 o'clock, each as viewing panels * Enlarged date window at 3 o'clock * Luminous coating Superluminova on dial (quadratic indexes) and hands **Functions:** * Hours, minutes, seconds, date * Chrono seconds * Rapid calendar advance * Tachymeter scale **Bracelet:** * Hand-sewn black Alligator leather strap with safety folding clasp
