====== Erguel ====== **Erguel** was a Swiss watch brand active from at least 1932 through 1987 under various producers (including Otto Rossel and Paul Buhré under Dixi) and locations from Tramelan to La Chaux-de-Fonds to Le Locle. Erguel is first seen as a brand produced by Otto Rossel in Tramelan along with Lessor, Oasis, and Orsa from 1932 through 1936. The Erguel brand next appeared attached to a manufacturer of metal bracelets in Saint-Imier. These were manufactured by H. Leuenberger, successor to Henri Guyot. These are listed in Indicateur Davoine in 1946 and 1947. In 1948, Montres Erguel SA is listed in Sonvilier. This appears to be the same company that is located in La Chaux-de-Fonds alongside Sellita on Rue des Tourelles 13 in 1952. Erguel relocated to Le Locle in 1965 after being purchased by Dixi in 1963. It was paired with high-end brand Paul Buhré in the 1970s but lost focus after Dixi purchased Zenith. Paul Buhré S.A. and Montres Erguel S.A. disappeared from the local business directory after 1987.
