====== F 2001 ======
Calibre **F 2001** is an [[automatic]] [[alarm movement]] from [[Fortis]] introduced around [[1977]].

Unlike most alarm movements of the 1970's, Fortis used a [[chronograph]] base for their F 2001, the [[Valjoux 7750]]. One of the first automatic chronograph alarm movements, Cal. F 2001 was also notable in that the [[barrel]] for the alarm function was wound with the central rotor also used to wind the base movement's mainspring. The movement retained the 7750's 28,800 A/h speed and day/date functions as well.
