**Garmin** is a well-known producer of GPS, Sports, Dive and [[Smartwatch]]es.

The brand is headquartered in [[Schaffhausen]]; the operational headquarters are located in Olathe (Kansas, USA). The company was founded [[1989]] by Gary Burrell and Min Kao (hence the name Gar/min) and became one of the market leaders in this field due to the innovative GPS technology of its products.
