====== Heuer Autavia ====== **Heuer Autavia** is a wristwatch by Heuer. ===== The classic Heuer Autavia ===== Already in 1933 a stopwatch by Heuer (today TAG Heuer) was bearing the name "Autavia". 1962 an identically wrist chronograph was presented, inside which a Valjoux manual winding movement was ticking. These models can also be recognized by the V-shaped, symmetrical arrangement of the three totalisers (Tricompax). From 1969 the watch was equipped with the newly developed automatic chronograph caliber Chronomatic with microrotor. Its typical construction mark is the left sided crown, located at 9 h. In 2019, TAG Heuer introduced a new Autavia collection, elevating the nameplate to its own model. **Reference:** * //Valjoux calibres // * 2446, Valjoux 72 * 3646, Valjoux 92 * 7763, Valjoux 7730 * 7863, Valjoux 7732 * 73363, Valjoux 7733 * //Calibre 11, 12, 14, 15 // * 1163, 1163 V, 1163MH, 1163T Jo Siffert * 1563, 1563 MH * 11630 * 15630 * 113.603, military version, completely black, PVD coating * CY5140, red gold, 70th Anniversary Edition, limited to 150 pieces **Movement:** * Manual winding chronograph movement calibre Valjoux 72, 18,000 A/h * Valjoux 92, Valjoux 7730, Valjoux 7732, Valjoux 7733 * //Since approx. 1968 // Self-winding chronograph movement calibre Heuer 11 (Chronomatic), 19.800 A/h * //Later // Calibre Heuer 12 to Heuer 15, 21,600 A/h * Incabloc shock protection * 17 jewels * Power reserve 45 h **Case:** * Stainless steel * Ø 38 mm, later Ø 41 mm, H approx. 13 mm * Acrylic glass, some models with mineral glass * Turning bezel with tachymeter scale, variants also with fixed bezel * Screw-in back * Water resistant, some models waterproof up to 20 atm **Dial:** * Black or white * Three white (or black) totalisers * Indices and hands with luminous material **Functions:** * Hours, minutes, small seconds at 9 h, date * Chrono function with 60-seconds, 30-minutes, 12-hours counter * Tachymeter * //Variants // with GMT function **Bracelet:** * Leather strap with tang-type buckle or stainless steel bracelet **Prize:** * According to state and model approx. 2,000 €, special models also up to 6,000 € ===== The re-edition of 2003 ===== In 2003 TAG Heuer launched a modern re-edition of the Autavia, driven by a modified caliber ETA 2892 with chrono module by Dubois Dépraz. **Reference:** * CY2111.ba0775, stainless steel * CY5140, red gold, 70th Anniversary Edition, limited to 150 pieces **Movement:** * Self-winding chronograph movement Tag Heuer Caliber 11 (base ETA 2892 with Chrono-Modul 2022 by Dubois Dépraz), 28,800 A/h * Shock protection * 55 jewels **Case:** * Stainless steel * Ø 42 mm, H 14 mm * Sapphire crystal * Fixed bezel with tachymeter scale * Screw-in back * Waterproof to 5 atm **Dial:** * Different dial colors * Indices and hands with luminous material **Functions:** * Hours, minutes, small seconds at 9 h, date * Chrono function with 60-seconds and 30-minutes counter * Tachymeter **Bracelet:** * Steel bracelet with folding clasp or leather strap **Prize:** * 3.100,- €, with leather strap 2.800,- € (in 2005) ===== Weblinks ===== * www.heuerautavia.com * www.onthedash.com
