He is the great-grandson of [[Edouard Heuer]], founder of the watch company [[Heuer]]. He determined the fate of the company since the 1960s and was largely responsible for the development of legendary sports watch classics such as the model [[TAG Heuer Carrera|Carrera]]. On June 26, [[1982]], the [[quartz crisis]] demanded its tribute In a bitter decision Jack W. Heuer was forced to sell the family company. In [[2001]] Jack W. Heuer was appointed Honorary President of the brand [[TAG Heuer]] and also received a position as a consultant. Due to his life's work, on February 2, [[2007]] he was awarded the "Gem Award" by the JIC (Jewelry Information Center).
