The **Reverso Géographique** was a limited-edition luxury [[dual timezone]] watch by [[Jaeger-LeCoultre]] introduced in [[1998]]. It was part of the [[Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso|Reverso]] family's [[Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Complications|Reverso Complications]] series.

In [[1991]], Jaeger-LeCoultre re-established itself as a high-end watchmaker, adding a [[complication]] to the iconic [[Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso|Reverso]] range as a signature piece. The resulting [[Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso 60eme|Reverso 60eme]] showed what could be done in the tiny reversible Reverso case, adding a [[power reserve indicator]] and [[date by pointer]] to a larger "[[Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Grande Taille|Grande Taille]]" case with a [[display caseback]]. These elements were taken to a new level with the [[Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tourbillon|Reverso Tourbillon]], [[Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Répétition Minutes|Reverso Répétition Minutes]], and [[Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Chronographe Rétrograde|Reverso Chronographe Rétrograde]] that followed.

The [[Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Duoface|Reverso Duoface]] model, introduced in [[1994]], presented a natural use for the reverse face of the Reverso model The back could display the time in a [[second timezone]] that could easily be flipped with "home time" on the front. The Reverso Géographique, which debuted in [[1998]], took this complication to the next level, using airport codes to select the "away" time. In this way, the Reverso Géographique is almost a [[world timer]], though many would argue that it is simply a [[GMT]] watch. Jaeger-LeCoultre would introduce other Géographique (or Geographic) models in later years, including the [[Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Géographique|Master Géographique]], [[Jaeger-LeCoultre Diving Pro Géographique|Diving Pro Géographique]], and [[Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Géographique|Master Compressor Géographique]].

The front or "home" dial displays the time with [[small seconds]] as well as a painted [[day/night indicator]] at 12 00. The dial is [[guilloche]], as typical of Reverso models, with Arabic numerals from 1-5 and 7-11, and "Night and Day" and "Reverso" above the central complications. The back "away" dial shows local hour and minutes centrally with [[GMT]] plus/minus and Day/Night indicators inside the full Arabic numeral [[chapter ring]]. Below this is a "Géographique" selector with three-letter airport codes on each side, 12 hours apart. An inset pusher above the crown selects home location while a rectangular button below selects local time.

Once again a limited edition of 500, the Géographique features a pink gold case in the [[Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Grande Taille|Grande Taille]] size, 42 mm tall by 26 mm wide. The movement, [[JLC 858|Cal. 858]], was only used in this model.

Although not up to the [[haute horology]] standards of previous [[Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Complications|Reverso Complications]] models, this watch is nevertheless a forerunner of the [[Jaeger-LeCoultre Hybris Mechanica|Hybris Mechanica]] line thanks to its custom [[complicated]] movement. The next offering in the series came in [[2000]], the [[Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Quantième Calendrier Perpétuel|Reverso Quantième Calendrier Perpétuel]].
