====== Local time ======
**Local time** is the statutory time within a zone (eg. as the CET in Germany, Austria and Switzerland), as opposed to true local time (also true solar time) or the mean time (also Greenwich Mean Time).

The true local time is the time displayed by a local [[sundial]]. For more information on the explanation of the latter terms, see [[Equation of time]].
