The watch was powered by a newly-designed automatic movement featuring Omega's trademark Co-Axial escapement. It is a column wheel design and is a certified chronometer. Two years later, Omega released the related **Cal. 3890** with the same functions but using a disc and window to display the day of the week rather than a pointer. ===== Applications ===== * Cal. 3888 * Omega Speedmaster 5-Counter Chronograph * Cal. 3890 * Omega De Ville Co-Axial Chronograph 4 Counters * Omega Constellation Co-Axial Chronograph **Manufacturer:** * Omega **Description:** * Self-winding movement * Chronograph movement * Manufacture movement * Co-Axial escapement with free sprung-balance * COSC certified chronometer **Functions:** * Hour, minute, small seconds * Chronograph seconds, 30 minutes, 12 hours, 7 days * Date window at 6 00 * Day pointer or disc **Data:** * 33 jewels * 28,800 A/h * Power reserve 52 Hours **Production period:** * Since 2008
