Series of elegant men's watches, brought to market 2007, and equipped with the high quality manufacture movements Omega 8500 / Omega 8501, presented the same year. They feature the co-axial escapement invented by George Daniels and are certified as chronometer by the COSC. Through two barrels in series the movements attain a remarkably high power reserve of 60 hours. Watch magazine Chronos (1/2007) //"In the test the new movement convinced with excellent rate results and a stable amplitude."// The most striking feature of all models is the with rhodium coated hour trail, which is complemented by faceted golden hour numerals. The date window at 3 o'clock is framed by a diamond-polished 18ct white or red gold insert. The caseback with sapphire crystal offers a look at the elaborate finishing, where the rhodinated and blackened screws with delicate azuré surface engraving ensure a futuristic look. Another special feature are the four sapphire crystal windows, by which at the sides of the case, a view of the inside of the watch is enabled. A complete sapphire housing is placed into the steel or rose gold case, so that the watch is still waterproof up to 10 atm and up to 5000 G shockproof. Thus, the term "Hour Vision" for the models of this series is justified in an unusual way. During the year 2008 a limited edition (160 pieces) of eight models with annual calendar was launched, equipped with the manufacture movement Omega 8611, see De Ville Hour Vision Annual Calendar. Also a series of chronographs is planned. **Reference:** * 431.33.41.21.01.001 stainless steel, black * 431.30.41.21.01.001 stainless steel, black, stainless steel bracelet * 431.33.41.21.02.001 stainless steel, silber * 431.30.41.21.02.001 stainless steel, silber, stainless steel bracelet * 431.63.41.21.02.001 red gold, silber * 431.63.41.21.13.001 red gold, black **Movement:** * Self-winding manufacture movement Omega 8500/Omega 8501, 25.200 A/h * Co-axial escapement with free sprung-balance * Double barrel * Certified chronometer (COSC) * Omega 8501 rotor and balance bridge in 18ct red gold * Elaborate finishing with bridges and rotor in „Côtes de Genève“ with Arabesque grinding * Power reserve 60 hours (Omega 8611 55 hours) **Case:** * Stainless steel, polished / red gold / white gold * D 41 mm, H 13.95 mm * Domed sapphire crystal with anti-glare treatment * Sapphire crystal caseback and four sapphire crystal windows at the side of the case * Waterproof to 100 m **Dial:** * Black / silver / brown **Functions:** * Hours, minutes, central seconds, date **Bracelet:** * Alligator leather with security folding clasp / stainless steel or gold bracelet with innovative screw and plug system **Price:** * Stainless steel from 4.510,- Euro RRP (retrieved 9/2008) * White gold/rose gold from 10.610,- Euro RRP (retrieved 9/2008) ===== Literature ===== * Omega-Uhren.
