====== Raketa Baikonur ====== **Baikonur** is a wristwatch from Raketa. As a designated 24-hour watch, this model features a dial with 24 hours instead of the usual 12. It was developed in collaboration with Russian cosmonaut Sergei Krikalev. Cosmonauts need above all * a simple and robust watch they can rely on to survive in the extreme conditions of space, * a watch with a simple complication -- a 24-hour movement that will enable them to distinguish day from night in the International Space Station (ISS), where they experience 16 sunrises and sunsets every 24 hours (as the ISS orbits the Earth every 90 minutes). The Raketa automatic movement, made entirely at the Raketa watch factory (in Saint Petersburg), has an imprinted decoration that can be seen through the open caseback: A cosmonaut flies around celestial constellations, and the famous words Gagarin uttered (as he flew into space) are printed in Russian on the oscillating weight -- which means "Let's go!" in English. **Movement:** * Manufacture Caliber Raketa 2624A, 18,000 A/h * Mechanical with automatic winding * 24 jewels * Accuracy -10 ~ +20 sec. * Power reserve 40 h **Case:** * Stainless steel * Ø 43 mm, H 13.15 mm * Titanium bezel * Sapphire crystal * Mineral glass back * Screw-down crown * Water resistant to 20 atm **Dial:** * Black **Functions:** * Hour, minute, center seconds * 24-hour display **Wristband:** * Silicone strap **Price:** * 1.200,00 EUR (2021)
