**Regulation screws** (also called **adjustment screws**) are screws located on the [[screwed balance]] and are used for the [[regulation]] of a watch. By turning these screws in or out, the outside diameter of the [[balance wheel]] may be slightly changed and thus the [[rate]] of the watch can be influenced.
