====== Roskopf movement ======
[[Wristwatch]]es with **Roskopf movements** are watches with extremely simple movements. The movement design is named after its developer, the German watch maker [[Roskopf, Georg Friedrich|Georg Friedrich Roskopf]], and is characterized by a particularly low-cost production.

The Roskopf [[escapement]] (also pin-lever escapement) consisted of an anchor body of brass and two lift pins, which functioned simultaneously as limiting pins.

After the patent of Roskopf movements, acquired in [[1876]], had expired, the system of the Roskopf [[escapement]] has been adopted by many companies and produced in high piece numbers till the beginning of the second half of the 20th century.
