**Métiers d'Art** is the name of a wristwatch series by [[Vacheron Constantin]].

When the oldest watch manufacturer in the world (as counted for continuous activity), the [[manufacture]] [[Vacheron Constantin]], celebrated its 250th anniversary in [[2005]], it presented to this occasion four new watch models and model ranges, each of which in itself demonstrated the highest level of watchmaking. One of them was the line **Métiers d'Art** (in English //Masterpieces//). The special feature that made these watches completely different from the usual framework, consisted in the lavishly produced, [[enamel]]ed dials, in which an image dominated the majority of the dial, while the timing occurred at the edge in small [[digital]] display discs.

In the years from [[2007]], this principle has been further improved, and indeed by launching the three-year collection "Les Masques" and a more subtle dial design, on the one hand with rotating [[sapphire crystal]] discs, on the other hand with engraved reproductions of masks in [[gold]], produced in complex individual handcraft from the largest private collection of primitive art of Jean Paul Barbier-Mueller. And for the second through the presentation of the series "Homage to the Great Explorers", which in turn in their map reproduction on enamel reminded of the earlier model [[Vacheron Constantin Mercator|Mercator]] by [[Vacheron Constantin]], which in its time had already written watch history as an unusual interpretation of a timepiece.

Another peak achivement represent the exclusive [[manufacture]] movements with [[automatic]] winding, which are used in this watch series. They are awarded the [[Geneva Seal]].
