====== Winding stem ======
A **winding stem** is a [[staff]], on which the [[crown]] is fixed, which is used to wind the watch and to adjust the hours and minutes hand. It is usually mounted at the outer end of the crown and establishes the connection to the [[movement]]. Often with it also the date is set.
