**Wittnauer** was an American watch brand founded in [[1885]] by Swiss emigre, [[Wittnauer, Charles-Albert|Charles-Albert Wittnauer]]. After being purchased by the Swiss firm [[Longines]] in [[1950]], Wittnauer was sold by [[Swatch Group]] to [[Bulova]] in [[2001]]. Wittnauer and Bulova were purchased by the Japanese [[Citizen Holdings]] in [[2007]].
