Calibre 1340 (and the similar Calibre 1341 and 1343) is an automatic chronograph movement jointly developed by Lemania and Omega. It was replaced by Cal. 5100 after 1974.
Omega and Lemania jointly developed an automatic chronograph movement for introduction in 1972. Cal. 1340 was introduced first, with Omega using the similar Cal. 1341 as their Cal. 1040/1041. It is a cam-switched automatic chronograph and closely followed the introduction of the Chronomatic and other famous movements.
Cal. 1340 has an unusual arrangement of hands and subdials. It is a 2-register movement, with 4 central hands and subdials at 6 and 9 on the dial
