The valanvron VAL-92 is an ETA 2892-compatible automatic movement from Valanvron.
Although it appears to be based on a Chinese-made Sea-Gull ST1812 ebauche, Valanvron remanufactures and modifies it in accordance to Swiss law to qualify the movement as “Swiss”. This likely means that the ebauches are reassembled in Switzerland with at least 50% Swiss parts (by value) replaced or added, and the movement is inspected in Switzerland. Like the 2892, the VAL-92 is 25.60 mm in diameter and 3.6 mm high. It includes hours, minutes, and sweep second and is self-winding with ball bearings. It includes a quickset date, hacking second hand, and INCABLOC shock absorption. Also like the 2892, the VAL-92 uses 28,800 vibrations per hour and has 21 jewels.
