Concept chronograph by TAG Heuer

Info

This concept chronograph by TAG Heuer presented 2008 at the Baselworld is the world's first automatic chronograph that measures 1/10 of a second and also displays it on the dial with a special indicator ring. Visible through a tinted, double sapphire crystal the COSC-certified movement oscillates with 36,000 semi-oscillations per hour. With this movement the central seconds hand runs forward at intervals of 1/10 seconds.

The watch has a black 43-mm case with titanium carbide coating and a Calibre 36 RS movement with power reserve and two black golden rotation systems, which show the chronograph minutes at 3 o'clock and the chronograph hours at 6 o'clock. The movement also has a linear seconds display at 9 o'clock.

Awards

In the fall of 2008 TAG Heuer for this beautiful and interesting watch received the renowned Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève in the category Best Sports Watch. Other awards it received are the Most Successful Design Award in China and the Salon Internacional de Alta Relojeria 2008 in Mexico.

In 2009 the watch is officially coming to market.
