New Nomos series "neomatik"

Nomos neomatik is a 2015 presented new watch series by Nomos with 10 models, all equipped with the the newly developed, ultra-flat automatic manufacture movement DUW 3001. The well-known models Tangente, Ludwig and Orion are completed by the new models Metro and Minimatik (the latter was launched at the same time as the "neomatik series).

For each of these five models there is one suitable "champagne" version with champagne dial and matching hands or indices color.

As an introduction, a limited so-called "1st edition" was launched, which was quickly sold out. It is characterized by the use of neon colors (respectively light blue neon or orange neon), which is gently and finely tuned to the overall appearance.

neomatik Date

In 2018, Nomos introduced the DUW 6101 movement, adding a date complication to the neomatik movement. This was used in the Tangente, Ludwig, and Orion. The new neomatik Tangente Date features 30 apertures around the dial with a red indicator showing the date by framing it in two apertures.

The DUW 6101 measures 35.2 mm in diameter but just 3.6 mm thick. This large size is due to the location of the date wheel at the periphery of the movement, allowing the date indication to be moved out to the edge in larger watches. The date mechanism is quickset in both directions from the crown.
