Alexis Barthelay

Alexis Barthelay is a French watch brand, currently part of the Franck Muller group.

History

Alexis Barthelay founded his eponymous brand in the 1930s in the Place Vendôme in Paris. The brand focused on jewelry at first but soon came to be known for watches as well.

Barthelay is known for combining unusual materials in watches, including coral and stone. With the advent of quartz movements, Barthelay focused on ultra-thin watches before turning to steel and diamonds in the 1990s.

In 2005, Barthelay became part of Franck Muller's Watchland Group.
