Texalium is a material.

It is a composite material made of fiberglass (or carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic in some applications) coated with an ultra-thin layer of 99.99% pure aluminum.

The aluminum layer is only about 200 angstroms thick and gives the material a highly reflective, silver appearance with an iridescent 3D effect, which is often mistakenly referred to as “silver carbon.”

The material is extremely durable, more impact-resistant than pure carbon and significantly lighter than many metals.
