The 1966 is a wristwatch by Girard-Perregaux

The name of the collection Girard-Perregaux 1966 is reminiscent of the many innovations of the manufacture from the 1960 years, for example in 1965 the development of a mechanical precision movement with the then unheard frequency of 36,000, which was awarded in the following year the Centenary Prize of the Neuchâtel Observatory.

The ultra-thin watches, of which the series 1966 consists, impress with their restrained and elegant appearance and a perfectly balanced shapeliness. In their own way they are approaching an ideal of clarity and elegance, as it can only be achieved by the most beautiful watches in the world. They are driven by the high-quality self-winding manufacture movement GP 3300, which can be viewed through the transparent sapphire crystal caseback.
