Fly-back Chronograph “Monte-Carlo 1970” is a wristwatch by Girard-Perregaux.

In memory of the victory of Björn Waldegaard and Lars Helmer at the Rallye Monte-Carlo in 1970 Girard-Perregaux has supplemented an automatic chronograph by a fly-back function. Originally designed for airplane pilots, this function allows to set the activated chronograph to zero by pressing a single pusher and to restart it without having to stop it. So the usual intermediate steps of a chrono operation are obsolete, and valuable time is gained.

On the dial there is the commemorative inscription “MONTE-CARLO 1970”; the counters echo the design of the dashboard of the Porsche 911 S rally winner. Their names, but also of the car, and a reproduction of the license plate can be found on the caseback.
