The Tonda PF Chronographe Mysterieux is a wristwatch by Parmigiani.
The watch is a world premiere marking the brand’s 30th anniversary, introducing an invisible chronograph featuring a new PF053 caliber. The movement comprises 362 components and utilizes a system of five coaxial hands that align perfectly when at rest, making the dial appear like a standard three-hand watch.
Architecture: An integrated column-wheel chronograph with a triple clutch (one vertical, two horizontal), enabling instant deployment and precise synchronization of the hands.
Operation: A monopusher at 7:30 controls all functions: The first press starts the chronograph (the three rhodium-plated hands deploy), the second stops the measurement, and the third resets it, causing the hands to retract while the time continues to run via two underlying rose gold hands.
Case and Design: The 40 mm stainless steel case with a platinum bezel measures just 13 mm in height and offers 100 m water resistance. The dial is mineral blue and decorated with a hand-guilloché Grain d’Orge pattern.
Movement: The automatic caliber PF053 beats at 28,800 vph (4 Hz), offers a power reserve of 60 hours, and is 6.9 mm thick.
