Club is an entry-level wristwatch by Nomos. It is part of a family produced since 2007.

Overview

Nomos had long been known for stylish, architecturally-inspired watches, but most had traditional or mature looks. The closest to a sports watch in 2007 was the Nomos Tangente Sport. That's why the Nomos Club caused a stir when it was launched. It presented a youthful and sporty look at an affordable price, the lowest in the Nomos range. With a rounded case, tapered lugs, and numerals at 2, 4, 8, 10, and 12 it stood out alongside the Ludwig, Orion, Tangomat, Tangente, and Tetra.

The first Nomos Club model was sized at 36 mm, in line with most other Nomos offerings in 2007, and used the company's Nomos Alpha movement. This hand winding movement had a small seconds subdial, but this was toned down by a dial which didn't call attention to this old-fashioned look. It featured a shell cordovan strap and luminous hands for a more contemporary look.

The original Nomos Club remains in production as of 2019, with the same 36 mm case and Alpha movement. It is available with either a steel or sapphire display caseback (for extra cost). Another colorway for the 36 mm Club was “dunkel” (“dark”).

Nomos also created special versions of the Club. In 2008, the Club Brigitte was created with a light blue color scheme for the magazine of the same name. The 2010 Club Hans was created for Wempe's 100th anniversary with a bright blue dial in a numbered limited edition of 100 examples. Another limited series of 50 Club Hello models were produced in 2011 for the Thai magazine of that name.

The inexpensive 36 mm Club Campus model is similar but has Roman numerals “IV” and “VIII” mixed with Arabic numerals.

Introduced at 780 Euro, the club remains affordable at 1.080 Euro or US$1,550 as of 2019.

Nomos Club Model Family

Shortly after introducing the original 36 mm Club, Nomos added three more Club models A model with a date complication, the Nomos Club Datum, and two automatic models, the Nomos Club Automat and Nomos Club Automat Datum. This would make up the bulk of the line until the Nomos Club Campus was added a decade later, in 2017. A larger 38 mm Nomos Club Campus 38 was then added the next year.

The Club model was added to the Nomos neomatik line in 2017 with the thin Nomos Club neomatik. In 2019, the range was further expanded with the Nomos Club Campus neomatik, Nomos Club Campus neomatik 39, and Nomos Club Sport neomatik 42 Datum.
