The case is the main body of a watch.

Most watches are made up of many components, with the body primarily consisting of the bezel, case, lugs, and case back. Some or all of these components can be integrated into a single unit.

Watch cases have traditionally been manufactured by specialist companies separate from other visible components, though many of these have been integrated vertically today.
