IWC Ingenieur Mercedes AMG

IWC has a long-running partnership with the AMG division of Mercedes-Benz (now known as Mercedes-AMG), which has resulted in a series of timepieces under the IWC Ingenieur brand. The agreement began with the AMG performance car division in 2004, was transferred to the Formula One team in 2010, and was renewed in 2014 through 2018.

Watch Models

Almost all IWC AMG watches feature exotic titanium or ceramic cases and AMG lettering on the case back. Most are based on normal-production IWC Ingenieur models, with some of those being called “AMG” models even though they are not technically part of this line.

In 2013, IWC redesigned the entire Ingenieur line around the Mercedes-AMG partnership, making all models up to the 2017 refresh technically part of this line. Of these, Ref. 3785 is notable in that it features two models (the “Racer” and “Silberpfeil”) which directly reference Mercedes-Benz models but feature steel cases and no Mercedes or AMG logos.

Ingenieur Mercedes AMG, Ref. 3227

IWC refreshed the Ingenieur line in 2005 with the new in-house Cal. 80110 and an updated 42 mm case. In addition to the regular steel models (Ref. IW322701), IWC produced three AMG models in titanium, Ref. IW322702, IW322703, and the extremely rare Ref. IW322706.

Note All AMG models have a titanium case. The steel Ref. 322701 is sometimes called an AMG model but lacks the AMG logo caseback.
