Clock Museum Vienna

The Clock Museum in Vienna, Austria (Uhrenmuseum Wien) is one of the most important collections of its kind in Europe.

Different types of clocks and watches of international origin are to be seen. Image clocks with hidden dials convince by their sophistication. The astronomical clock by David Cajetano is a sensation of the 18th century with many technical subtleties.

Chest grandfather clocks with rich figural jewelry refer among other things on the watch as a social status symbol. In exquisite examples are represented Biedermeier and the Belle Epoque. A visit to the clock and watch museum is a varied walk through the cultural and art history.
