An engineer watch is a tool watch for technical professionals.

Overview

Early engineer watches were designed for use on the railroad, but later examples are for technical workers. In all cases, an engineer watch should be clean and legible, usually with Arabic numerals on the dial and few complications. Magnetic resistance is another highly-prized element, both for lab work and to ensure accuracy.

Engineer Bracelet

Seiko created a five-link bracelet known as the “engineer” bracelet, and it is today used on many technical watches. Each link is squared-off with a hexagonal profile and all links are roughly the same size, giving the look of a chain or belt.
