Urban Jürgensen was a Danish watchmaker and chronometer maker.

He was born on 5 August 1776 in Copenhagen, the son of court watchmaker Jürgen Jürgensen. At the age of 20, he went to Switzerland to train. Later, he went to Paris (to Abraham-Louis Breguet, among others) and to London to John Arnold. In 1815, he was appointed royal court watchmaker by the Danish king.
