Manufacturer of watch cases
Cases manufactured at the SUG for Jacques Etoile
In 1998 Lothar Schmidt, the owner of the watch manufacturer Sinn, together with Walter Fricker (owner of the housing company Fricker, Pforzheim) and Ronald Boldt, former head of technology and quality of the Glashütter Uhrenbetrieb, founded the watch case manufacturer Saxon watches technology GmbH (SUG) together in Glashütte, Saxonia.
The SUG has focused on the manufacture of high quality watch cases. In the start-up phase of the company the watch company Sinn, by an agreement to manufacture watch cases at SUG, contributed significantly to the building of a solid structure of the company. In addition, there is a lively and fruitful technology transfer between the two businesses in Frankfurt and Glashütte.
Also, the watch manufacturer Jacques Etoile has its cases manufactured in the SUG.
