Traser is a Swiss military watch manufacturer. Watches by traser® H3 are developed primarily for military use and are built solid and functionally, on the other hand, they are characterized by a special lighting system, called mb-microtec illumination, which is recognized worldwide as the leading technology.

mb-microtec 1968 emerged from the traditional company merz+benteli, now working in the adhesives and sealants industry.

Benefits of the Traser lighting system

The light inserts used in Traser watches or the “trigalight” GTLS (gaseous tritium light sources) are up to 100 times brighter than other comparable products. In addition, they are self-luminous and completely independent of a battery, ie they require no external charge and deliver their luminosity without any device having to be operated (power button or the like).

Because of these advantages US military in the meantime has ordered more than 300,000 H3 watches till now.

The H3 luminous color

The luminous coating Tritium H3 used by Traser is an artificially generated, heavy isotope of hydrogen (H3). In comparison with the well known luminescent LumiNova or Superluminova, which is frequently used in the watch area, the latter during the first five minutes lies ahead in the light intensity, but then wanes rapidly and continuously. The radio-luminescent light of the traser® H3 watch, however, remains constant and ensures a unlimited readability in the dark.

The Collection

The majority of the collection consists of quartz watches. The ranges are called Military, Professional, Diver, Classic and Nautic. In the Classic series there are also models with the proven mechanical self-winding movement ETA 2824-2, which since 2008 is visible through a glass floor.
